Borde Hill - July 2019
On arrival at Borde Hill we were made welcome by a member of staff who led us to the marquee for coffee and biscuits. We emerged into a delightfully planted set of garden ‘rooms,’ with on one side the scent of 500 roses and on the other jasmine. Beyond were tall blue delphiniums and a range of familiar perennials beuatifully displayed inviting us to walk further. In the distance were woonderful views of the Sussex Weald. The Elvira Cafe offered appetising dishes and delicious cakes. The sun came out as it usually does on our garden visits. Chris, our driver, took good care of us, as usual … a most enjoyable day.
